Nottingham City Council have been fighting the publication of an audit on their financial controls in April 2023. The council instructed Ernst and Young to carry out the review the 'control environments' at Nottingham City Council (NCC) covering areas of licensing, as well as a number of other funds. The report finds 'inappropriate financial activity' by NCC highlighting that the selective licensing fees have only been ring-fenced in the last 12 months.
