Getting to university

Students studying at Birmingham City University’s South Campus are only five minutes’ walk from front door to lecture hall. Making this ideal student accommodation if you’re based at that campus.

University of Birmingham students have a three-minute train ride between Five Ways and University stations. Trains between both stations are super frequent, making it simple to hop on a train and make your nine o’clock lecture. George Road is right next to the station, so you don’t have to break a sweat getting there, either.

Five Ways station being so close also makes it easy to reach Birmingham New Street – one of the UK’s transport hubs with trains heading off to London and destinations all over the UK. Perfect if you fancy breaking out your student rail card and exploring further afield.

The local area

Probably the perfect spot for students, Five Ways sits between leafy, quiet Edgbaston and the bustling heart of the city.

There is a huge supermarket just up the road, plus lots of cafes, coffee shops and pubs within a mile radius.

That’s just on the Edgbaston side. Over the Five Ways roundabout, you’re on Broad Street – Brum’s famous destination for big nights out. As well as the all-important Nandos, there’s a big cinema, and Pryzm nightclub – scene of many an epic student night.
